Clare Motor Club are delighted to announce The Oakwood Arms Hotel, Shannon as the Title Sponsor of the 2015 Clare Stages Rally ,

“The Clare Motor Club are delighted to welcome back for the third year “The Oakwood Arms Hotel” Shannon as the main sponsor for the “2015 Clare Stages Rally”.
The Management and Staff of the Hotel along with the Club's Organising Committee have been working together over the last couple of months to make the rally one of the most popular and friendly rounds of “ Top Part West Coast Rally Championship”.
This years event which takes place on Sunday Sept. 20th.is on an opt out year of The National Rally Championship but is Round 5 of “The Top Part West Coast Rally Championship”.
Now entering its 22nd year of Sponsorship by the Top Part Group, which makes it the longest standing Sponsorship of a Championship in Irish Rallying History and
also Ireland's number 1 Regional Rally Championship.
The tried and tested formula of 6 events remains for 2015 with a change to the number of counting rounds. Now at 5 Competitors are required to start 3 events
to qualify. An extra starters point will be awarded to the Last Two Rounds of the Championship, The Clare Stages and Kerry Banna Stages.
Also new for 2015 is the "Drive of the Day Award" which will be presented at the finish of each round. This award is sponsored by Limerick Motor Centre Hyundai.
Registration for the Championship is free.
The organising team is offering competitors a friendly very compact event featuring two very challenging stages west of Ennis on good quality tarmac which will be repeated three times, followed by service after Stage two and Stage four.
The overall length of the event is 231.70km. of which 89.70km are stages.
Pace note making will take place on Saturday 20th September with sign on at the Oakwood Arms Hotel in Shannon between 8.00am. And 12.00 noon.
Mechanical Scrutiny will take place between 14.00 to 20.00 at Mid West Tyres, Smithstown, Shannon.
The first car will leave Parc Ferme at the Overflow Car Park in Shannon Airport across from Westair Aviation on Sunday Morning September 20th.at 09.40am. returning to the final control at the Oakwood Arms Hotel at 16.40pm.
Centralised servicing will take place at the Clare Marts Complex on the Quin Road in Ennis.
As Safety is a big issue in running this event the organisers are appealing for as much help as possible. Wheather you are an Organiser, Rally official or a Marshall we are appealing to everybody for assistance in order to make make this years Clare Stages Rally a super safe event. We need in the region of 100 marshalls and anybody interested in helping out can contact any of the Organising Committee or contact our Chief Marshall Gerry O'Brien on 086-2766267
